Viking Splash Tours Opening This Christmas!

It turns out Christmas has alot of its roots in Viking traditions. I just did a bit of reading and discovered that it was a Viking tradition to hang gifts of food and statues on evergreen trees in honour of the god Odin during the winter (Christmas tree) and to slaughter a pig in honour of the god Frey (Christmas ham dinner) who could deliver a prosperous harvest if properly appeased.
Mistletoe has a great origin with the Viking god Balder who was killed by a mistletoe arrow. He was ressurected when his mother cried over his body and her tears turned the red berries of the mistletoe white.
